Education Committee
The Jamaican Association of Massachusetts' education committee has a clear and important purpose. Its goal is to promote the common interests of school and community education for Jamaican Diasporas living in Massachusetts. This includes advocating for improved access to education for marginalized groups such as girls, women, persons with disabilities, and minorities. The committee also strives to empower members of the diaspora to take action on educational initiatives.
In order to achieve these goals, the committee works to establish strong connections with local and Jamaican government authorities as well as other external agencies. Additionally, the committee aims to increase awareness among diasporas about the educational disparities that exist both in Massachusetts and Jamaica. By actively pursuing these objectives, the Jamaican Association of Massachusetts' education committee plays a crucial role in promoting education and addressing issues related to diversity and inclusivity within the Jamaican community.
